Résumé
Claude Terblanche is the Ward 4 Councillor for Bitou Local Municipality, representing the Plett Democratic Congress (PDC) for New Horizons and Ebenezer. Born and bred in Plettenberg Bay, he is deeply embedded in his community. A founding member and Chairperson of the PDC, Terblanche has been actively involved in community upliftment programmes for years, particularly for the poor and disadvantaged residents of New Horizons. He is a long-standing member of the Plettenberg Bay Pioneers Cricket Club, serving as a medium-pace bowler, assistant coach, and pitch preparer, and was crowned best bowler for two successive years in 2017 and 2018. Elected as Ward 4 Councillor in November 2021, he was subsequently elected as Speaker of the Bitou Municipal Council and later served as Executive Mayor in early 2024. Terblanche is a passionate advocate for administrative stability, equal opportunity, and collective leadership in the municipality.
