Plettenberg Bay Community Environmental Forum / Plett Environmental Forum AIMS AND GOALS: The Plett Environmental Forum is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, ensuring a clean and green environment, and actively participating in sustainable development projects. The organization has been involved in the protection of the environment in Plettenberg Bay and surrounding areas since 1996. Members of the forum engage in raising environmental awareness via information and outreach initiatives, safeguarding the sustainability, health, and diversity of the natural environment, and implementing hands-on projects that aim to protect, restore, and enhance the natural environment in the Bitou area. The forum also plays a crucial role in safeguarding the environmental sustainability of development projects through input into public participation processes. A notable initiative is the Klein Piesang Nature Park project, which was launched by the forum in 2025.
