Sharon Sabbagh is a dedicated public servant with extensive experience in local government spanning nearly two decades. She previously served as a Councillor for the City of Johannesburg from 2006 to 2011, gaining valuable insights into council governance and community engagement at a metropolitan level. A ratepayer in Knysna since 2011, she actively contributes to the local community. Currently, she serves as the Ward 9 Councillor for the Knysna Local Municipality, representing the Democratic Alliance. In addition to her ward duties, Cllr Sabbagh holds the significant portfolio of Mayoral Committee Member (MMC) for Finance and Tourism, playing a crucial role in the economic development and financial oversight of the municipality.
