Professional Resume:
Cllr Stephan Botha serves as the Chief Whip of the Mossel Bay Municipal Council. His
professional background is in law and public administration, providing him with a solid
foundation for his role in legislative oversight. As Chief Whip, he is responsible for
maintaining party discipline and ensuring the smooth functioning of council meetings. His
work experience involves close collaboration with the Speaker and the Executive Mayor to
manage the council's legislative agenda. Cllr Botha is also deeply involved in community
safety initiatives and has worked to strengthen the partnership between the municipality
and local law enforcement agencies. He is a strong advocate for the rule of law and
transparent governance. His leadership is marked by a focus on accountability and the
effective implementation of council resolutions to improve the lives of residents in Ward 7.
